Winter weather across the Middle East takes on a political shape.

Snow blanketed parts of Syria, Lebanon, Israel and the Occupied West Bank this week. Though the storms caused flooding in some areas, in others people have gone out to enjoy the snow, which falls only rarely in the region.
With kefiyyehs and flags, children and adults took advantage of the unusual storm to make snowmen with a Middle Eastern spin.
