The French parliament convened for a historic vote legalising gay marriage and allowing same-sex couples to adopt. Groups on the right delayed the National Assembly's final vote by presenting more than five thousand amendments to the original bill. After receiving a majority vote, the bill is slated for further debate in the Senate next month.

Using the hashtag #mariagepourtous, French netizens and parliamentarians sparked a conversation on the marriage equality vote.
