One of the demands of the protesters is due process for those imprisoned.

Those at the protests are also demanding "the release of political prisoners" as seen in the picture below. Abu Muwahhid, who shared the image, gave credit to the women who were there in lieu of men.

Protesters held photos of Mohammed bin Nayef, Saudi Minister of the Interior, with the words "leave". The photos were later burned in front of security forces.

This week's sit-in was the third in a series of protests in Buraida. Blogger Ahmed Al Omran speculates this could become a larger issue for the government:

Human rights group
Saudi Civil and Political Rights Association shared this photo of the protests: "A recent picture of the protesters. They have pitched their tents and are continuing their sit-in until their demands are met".
