Three suspects are
to appear in court on Apri 22 in connection with the beatings.
This shows that those fools don't respect even their own parents that's why they even lifted the legs of a woman old enough to be their mother up. They must rot in jail and if that was the instruction from the owner his shop must be boycotted so that he can suffer for the pain and humiliation of that woman.facebook.com
that 'other people's pain entertains':
It didn't go viral bcoz other people's pain entertains us but It went viral because awereness had to be raised about the brutality that takes place behind security doors, that these animals who call themselves humans in their attack lack the mercy to even consider that this is an elderly woman. They just beat her like a dog.facebook.com
Some, such as , expressed satisfaction that the security guards involved were arrested:
It's a good thing that those who were involved in this thing were arrested...now I hope the court will teach them a lesson , I dnt care what the woman did but what they did to her deserves nothing lesser than a life's sentencefacebook.com
commented on the situation of abuse in the country:
We live in a violent country. So many of us are desensitized by violence. The only time we react is when a video like this is broadcast. It is simple, in our country men dont view women as their equals. Our president is a good example of a chauvinist!facebook.com
In CCTV footage first published by South African news agency

against the police have been investigated over the past two years.
The video went viral on Tuesday, with many commenting on the situation.
Notwithstanding that it's clear this cop took money from his victim, kicking someone in the head is assault GBH!
How are we suppose to feel safe in our country? This is the 2nd video I have seen in 3 weeks, When will this stop?news24.com
Some blamed South African President Jacob Zuma, who recently said that South Africa is "
not a violent nation
Well. Happy birthday Mr President. Your present is a slap in the face of your theory that there is no problem with the culture of violence in our police force. But by all means - please keep blaming apartheid for this! Great solution to a problem that is now endemic!news24.com
Others discussed the idea that the man in the video was apparently not arrested.
there is no need to keep arresting all the time, at least the police officers managed to stop something that could have been a bad situation.news24.com
Really..... how can not arrest him. And the president said that he will not tolerate violence against women. And this from the people who is suppose to protect us women :-(news24.com
The Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) are
the situation, though the woman involved does not
