China censors the word 'censorship'

China expands 'healthy news order' as director calls censorship 'enormous torment'.

China's broadening media censorship to include: regulations on editors, editorial processes and content, management of news websites, and overall social media use. On April 16 an article entitled, 'SARFT to Enhance Control Over Editors' Online Activities,' was published on state-controlled media (seen below). The government stated these regulations are being put in place "to allow the internet to play as active a role as possible," and to "promote the establishment of a healthy news order."
