Public mourns loss of 'Egypt Independent'

After management bans newspaper, staff releases final issue online.

Egypt Independent, a newspaper celebrated as a unique voice in Egypt's often-chaotic media, announced on Thursday that it would close after four years of publishing. Following a reported last-minute order from management to stop the printing of its final edition, the editorial team released the issue online.
