Gitmo force-feeding on Ramadan schedule

US military to tube feed only after sundown during holy month.

undefinedDressed in orange coveralls, alleged al-Qaida and Taliban combatants captured in Afghanistan wash before midday prayers at controversial Camp X-Ray, where they are being held in cages at the US Naval Base at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, 27 January 2002 (EPA/Kevin Lamarque).

As lawyers of Guantanamo Bay prisoners continue to fight the US military’s force-feeding policy, in the meantime, they’re requesting that prison guards avoid “any force-feeding between sunup and sundown during the month of Ramadan.”
