Egyptian president Mohammed Morsi’s overthrow sent shockwaves throughout social media.

All sides of Egypt’s political divide weighed in to celebrate and mourn the president’s ouster after a year in office. On Twitter, the hashtags #WeAreWithMorsi and #EgyptRevolutionNotMilitaryCoup battled it out, while netizens uploaded Vine videos showing the festivities in Cairo.
