Saudi Arabia passes domestic abuse law

In an unprecedented move, the country criminalizes domestic violence and harassment.

Saudi web users are hailing the landmark law aimed at combating violence against women and children. It was passed on Monday outlawing 'all forms' of domestic abuse . According to the legislation, the government will also provide rights to anonymity and medical aid to the victims, including psychological and social support.  

In addition to women and children, the new measure applies in cases of abuse against domestic migrant workers
