Russia’s take on Syria

Where do Russians stand when it comes to the war in Syria?

How do Russians view the situation in Syria and what are they saying about US-Russia relations? President Vladimir Putin’s NY Times op-ed sparked a wide range of US reactions online. In it, Putin told the American public that the new opportunity to rid Syria of its chemical weapons and avoid US-led military action would “strengthen mutual trust” and “open the door to cooperation on other critical issues”.
