Protesting taxi drivers attack Uber car in Paris
Traffic jams across Paris as dispute heats up between French taxi drivers and private car services.

A Paris taxi-driver protest took a violent turn on Monday, when drivers attacked a car transporting two passengers from Charles de Gaulle Airport. Drivers reportedly threw rocks and paint at the car, operated by online car service Uber, before smashing a window and slashing one of its tyres.
Today’s taxi protests, in which drivers delayed traffic along highways connecting Paris and its two major airports, reportedly caused more than 240 kilometres of traffic jams in the French capital.
Both of the Uber passengers, who escaped uninjured, took to Twitter to explain the incident.
