Is the Canadian government muzzling scientists? Across the country, many scientists accuse Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s Conservative government of, what they call, a ‘war’ on knowledge and science. They’re expressing concern over the cutting of hundreds of renowned research programs and the dismissal of more than 2000 federal scientists and researchers over the past few years. So, is the Canadian government censoring scientific research, and, if so, why? We discuss at 19:30GMT.
