Does easing abortion restrictions advance women’s rights? Lawmakers in France think so. On January 22, the French Assembly approved an amendment that frees women from justifying their decision to have an abortion. Supporters say it gives women greater control over their own body. Opponents say the bill “trivialises” abortion. We take a look at both sides of the conversation at 19:30 GMT.
