In protest against the Philippines’ cyber crime law, activists are holding ‘Black Tuesday’ demonstrations online and on the streets to express dissent with the CyberCrime Prevention Act of 2012.
In early February, the Supreme Court upheld the controversial bill, declaring several provisions constitutional. Many critics focus on a provision criminalising online libel, calling it an infringement on free speech and Internet freedom.
