The teens were killed last Thursday during a protest on the 66th anniversary of the 'Nakba', or "Catastrophe", marking the displacement of Palestinians during the 1948 war that led to the creation of Israel. Muhammad Abu Daher, 15, and Nadim Nowarra, 17, were part of a group of protesters throwing rocks at Israeli soldiers at a military prison outside Ramallah.
