Working towards a polio-free Pakistan

Even with international efforts to promote polio immunisation, virus makes a comeback in the country.

What’s standing in the way of eradicating polio in Pakistan? Despite one of the largest global eradication efforts, polio infections there have grown sharply, particularly in country’s northwest. Health workers attribute the rise to fears that the polio vaccine is linked to US spying and conspiracy against Muslims.
