Trans youth rights: The battle over the bathroom

Vancouver approves new controversial school policy allowing trans students the right to use the washroom of their choice.

Transgender students in Vancouver’s school system will soon be able to use the washroom and gender pronoun of their choice under a controversial policy approved by the school board. There’s also discussion about teachers using gender-neutral pronouns in the classroom. Opponents claim the policy is not in line with their traditional values.
