Indian minister under fire for claiming Yale degree
Smriti Irani mocked for education credentials after conflating a Yale University leadership course certificate with a degree.
Union Minister for Human and Resource Development Smriti Irani ignited controversy after claiming she has a degree from Yale University. The minister was previously criticised for not having enough educational qualifications for the post. At the India Today Women Summit 2014, Irani was asked to clarify her education background.
