Ad accusing Hamas of ‘child sacrifice’ lands UK paper in hot water

Journalists and readers were divided over the Guardian’s decision to print an advertisement accusing Hamas of “child sacrifice”. The ad received widespread condemnation from groups like the Stop The War coalition, a UK based anti-war organisation that started an online petition against it. The petition was signed by more than 140,000 people within 24 hours.
