Pakistanis divided over Imran Khan’s resignation and #CivilDisobedience

Citizens express scepticism over politician’s call to withhold taxes to pressure ouster of country’s PM.

Some Pakistanis are poking fun at politician Imran Khan’s civil disobedience campaign to remove the country’s Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif, and push for new elections. While addressing supporters on Sunday, Khan called on citizens to counter alleged government corruption by refusing to pay taxes and utility bills. 

In the past week, tens of thousands of anti-government protesters have taken to the streets of the capital Islamabad to demand the resignation of the Prime Minister.
