#BringBackOurGirls protesters call #BringBackGoodluck2015 a ‘mockery’

Slogan supporting Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan seen as insensitive to the more than 200 kidnapped schoolgirls.

An initiative to get President Goodluck Jonathan reelected is receiving online backlash for using #BringBackGoodluck2015. Many are calling the slogan, started by the Goodluck Initiative for Transformation (GIFT), insensitive to the more than 200 schoolgirls kidnapped by Boko Haram in April. Nigerians and others worldwide have rallied under #BringBackOurGirls to demand greater action to find the girls, who have been missing for 147 days. 

With the election less than six months away, billboards and posters have reportedly appeared throughout Nigeria with #BringBackGoodluck2014, causing many to question the thought behind the hashtag campaign:
