Ebola panic hit Spain on Tuesday as the country’s health ministry confirmed a nurse contracted the virus. At a press conference, Minister Ana Mato revealed the 40-year-old nurse had treated two Ebola patients, who later died, at the Carlos III Hospital in Madrid.
The hashtag #VAMOSAMORIRTODOS (We’re all going to die) trended as Spanish netizens put a sarcastic spin on panicked reactions. It has been used more than 51,000 times in one day.
