#BlackstoneEvicts: Protesters fight US firms’ role in Spain housing crisis

Demonstrations take place in Barcelona, New York and San Francisco.

Protesters on both sides of the Atlantic are highlighting the role of a US private equity fund in hiking up rent prices and housing evictions in Spain.

On Wednesday, housing advocates organised rallies in Barcelona, New York and San Francisco against Blackstone, a US-based firm that has bought more than 40,000 housing units in Spain.
