Iran’s deal: fears v. assurances

Would a nuclear deal with Tehran make the Middle East more or less stable?

Nuclear negotiations with Iran are being closely watched by Saudi Arabia and the rest of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). They’re worried a deal with Iran would bolster Tehran’s increasing influence in the Middle East. U.S. Secretary of State, John Kerry, flew to Riyadh last week to ease fears and assure that a diplomatic solution to Iran’s atomic programme would make the region more secure.
