In war, Yemenis celebrate life

Yemenis share photos and stories of their lives with #OurYemen as Saudi-led bombing and blockade continue.

Yemenis took to Twitter to show examples of resilience during “Decisive Storm” air strikes targeting Houthi rebels. A Saudi-led coalition started the air strikes several days ago. According to UNICEF, at least 62 children have been killed in the raids.

UN rights chief Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein said “the country seems to be on the verge of total collapse” and aid groups warn of a humanitarian crisis due to a blockade.

With #OurYemen and #KefayaWar (which means “enough war”), users pushed back against those who may reduce Yemen to “just another war zone”:
