Netizens light up social media as Chile declares state of emergency in southern region.

After lying dormant for half a century, Chile’s Calbuco volcano erupted on Wednesday, prompting many to share videos and timelapses using Instagram.

The Chilean government has evacuated more than 5,000 people and enforced an overnight curfew. Chile’s Interior Minister said there have been no reports of deaths, missing persons of injuries.
