Greenpeace blasted for ‘dangerous’ rooftop stunt in New Zealand parliament

Climate activists were arrested in Wellington after placing solar panels and banners near window ledge.

Greenpeace activists are being criticised for posing a “serious risk” after scaling the walls of New Zealand’s parliament on Thursday, protesting what they say is Prime Minister John Key’s “inaction” on climate change. The four protesters involved in the action were arrested and charged with trespassing after placing solar panels and a banner reading “Cut Pollution, Create Jobs? Yeah, Nah” on a window ledge of the building.
