String of US church fires sparks #WhoIsBurningBlackChurches

At least six church burnings have been reported since the Charleston shooting.

A series of church fires across southern US states has prompted many on Twitter to ask “#WhoIsBurningBlackChurches?”. The latest was Tuesday’s burning of Mount Zion African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church, which marked 20 years since the church was set ablaze by the white supremacist Ku Klux Klan (KKK) organisation. Six church fires have been reported in the wake of the deadly shooting at Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, with arson said to be the cause of at least three.
