Mexicans say ‘it was the military’ that opened fire on the locals in #Ostula

A 12-year-old was killed during a confrontation in western Mexico.

The Mexican army allegedly opened fire on the indigenous community of Santa Maria de Ostula in the state of Michoacán on July 19. Several people were injured. At least one child is confirmed dead. The confrontation reportedly occurred as the community blocked the Ixtapilla bridge in a protest against the arrest of a local self-defence group leader, Semei Verdia, who was arrested earlier that day.

Below is one video of the confrontation.
