Kenyans push back after CNN calls region a ‘hotbed of terror’

Twitter users react to network’s report on security concerns ahead of Obama’s visit.

Kenyans shot back at CNN after the US television network aired a report calling East Africa a “hotbed of terror.”

In a news package and accompanying article, CNN outlined security concerns ahead of President Obama’s visit to the country, also mentioning US air strikes in neighboring Somalia against armed group al-Shabab.

Many took to Twitter to respond with #SomeoneTellCNN, which has been used more than 110,000 times.
