Colombians rally behind mayor to stop construction over hills
Housing minister clashes with Bogota mayor over urban development.

Colombians are rallying behind Bogota’s mayor Gustavo Petro, who is battling Housing Minister Luis Felipe Henao to prevent construction over the city’s eastern hills. The Housing minister is suing Petro, claiming he illegally redefined Bogota’s city limits to prevent construction projects. The mayor, however, accused Henao of supporting development because the family behind one of the projects also contributes money to his political party.
