Is it racist to say ‘I would marry anything but white’?

A recently published column on the Muslim dating blog ‘Love, InshAllah’ has sparked an interesting online debate. Writer and activist Tanzilla Ahmed published an entry in her monthly ‘Radical Love’ column entitled “Why I Don’t Date White Men”. In it, she explained her decision to only date men of colour.
