Queen Elizabeth II is officially Britain's longest-reigning monarch, surpassing her great-great grandmother Queen Victoria. Many across the UK and the commonwealths are celebrating her 63 years on the throne, including on Twitter with #LongestReign. Others brought back the debate on whether the monarchy should exist in today's Britain.

According to recent YouGov poll, 68 per cent of the British public believes the institution is good for the country.
