Stream 360 drops you into West Baltimore library

In a US city where murder rates reach record highs and police violence has triggered mass unrest, one public library has become a safe haven. The Pennsylvania Avenue branch of Baltimore City’s Enoch Pratt Free Library kept community members safe in April as crowds torched a nearby pharmacy, outraged by the death of Freddie Gray, a young, black Baltimore resident who died in police custody. Under the direction of branch manager Melanie Townsend Diggs, the library is a sanctuary of service and learning. The Stream traveled to Baltimore to bring you this virtual reality tour.
