Pakistani military says education is ‘revenge’ in school massacre tribute

Army-produced music video draws mixed response.

The media wing of Pakistan’s military is receiving both praise and criticism for a new video paying tribute to the victims of last year’s Peshawar school massacre.

December 16 marks the one year anniversary of the attack, in which Taliban fighters killed more than 130 children attending Peshawar’s Army Public School. Earlier this month, Pakistan executed four men linked to the massacre.

On Monday, Pakistan’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) released the above music video. It features children singing about how they will eradicate ignorance by “educating the children of the enemy.”
