The Stream

The American dream and Trump: Part II

Naturalised US citizens share their hopes and fears for the next four years.

Donald Trump has been sworn in as the 45th president of the United States and he has begun work right away fulfilling his campaign promises.

In his sights: Revoking the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, and eliminating the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and Deferred Action for Parents of Americans (DAPA). The new president won partly on promises to create jobs and build a giant wall between the US and Mexico, and Trump says plans are underway to make these happen.

In part two of our special Stream town hall, we will discuss the issues and what they mean to our panel of naturalised US citizens. How do they see the next four years under President Trump?
