Will coronavirus torpedo Trump’s re-election chances?

A looming economic recession and an inability to reign in the virus are hurting Trump’s approval ratings.

On Monday, March 16, 2020 at 19:30 GMT:
As COVID-19 continues to spread across the United States, President Donald Trump’s managing of the pandemic has left much to be desired, critics say.

They warn that an inability to reign in the coronavirus, coupled with an economic recession, could cost Trump his re-election in November.

Such steps include ensuring Americans are self-quarantining if feeling ill. For millions, this would be impossible without guaranteed paid sick leave and better health care. But Trump’s pledge to address these issues has yet to bear fruit.
