Bahrain activists detained after appearing on The Stream

Two Bahraini activists summoned to intelligence ministry.

Nabeel Rajab, a prominent Bahraini human rights activist and Mohammad Hasan, a blogger, tweeted that they had been called in for questioning by authorities after appearing on the show on Monday, June 4. Both said they believed the reason for the summoning was due to their participation on The Stream.

Fahad Albinali, media spokesman at the Information Affairs Authority, who also appeared on our show, replied to their tweets saying the summons were due to already pending cases and unrelated to the show.
