International sensation Sami Yusuf
Acclaimed singer, composer and musical pioneer joins The Stream.
Since the release of the album Al Mu’allim in 2003, singer Sami Yusuf has become a global phenomenon. His music easily mixes sounds from East and West into songs inspired by his Islamic faith.
Yusuf sings in the Spiritique genre, a new form of music which he has pioneered. Spiritique utilises song as a facilitator for spiritual appreciation.
In addition to his musical success, Yusuf also works on building bridges between the East and the West. His latest humanitarian project includes bringing aid to the drought-stricken Horn of Africa.
On Tuesday, Sami Yusuf joins The Stream to discuss his music, personal philosophy and latest project to help those affected by famine in Africa.
