Residents in the Philippines march to save trees from a development project

Thousands of residents in the Philippines marched through the streets of Baguio on Friday to protest the planned destruction of pine trees to make room for a parking garage.
The country's Department of Environment and Natural Resources granted a cutting permit to a developer last month. The development company, SM management, says the trees will be uprooted and replanted elsewhere.
Environmentalists and protesters say there is no guarantee replanted trees will survive.
