On Friday, the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced a plan that will ease deportation rules for undocumented immigrants who have lived in the US since a young age. The new policy relates directly to the DREAM (Development Relief and Education for Minors) Act, which was first proposed in 2001 by Senators Dick Durbin and Orinn Hatch.

In the video below, President Barack Obama spoke about the Executive Order, which is expected to affect around 800,000 individuals.
